Resource Sector Moving: Acer Energy

Investment in the resource sector continues to drive demand for CDB office space. Many resource firms have made significant strategic investments to position themselves ready for growth in the demand for Queensland's natural resources.

  3. Acer Energy Executive Office

One of these resource firms Acer Energy, recently made significant changes to their structure and executive management team. To reflect these changes they relocated from a suburban location to CBD office building. After taking their brief to the market a number of locations met their requirements. However they wanted to be certain about the choice of location and needed detailed information they could use to assist them with space planning and fitout costs. So their leasing agent suggested they contact us to for advice on the feasibility of the relocation.

The project had a very short timeframe as Acer wanted to avoid paying rent at two locations. This meant that the traditional documentation and tendering process was not going to work for them. Our 3-step Design+Construct process allowed them to save time and money by not having to engage an architect for the design and go through the tender process with multiple builders. We were able to quickly give them a 2D design layout with 3D computer generated images, a selection of finishes as well as an accurate project budget for them to assess the feasibility of the project.

Design Brief & Project Overview
Their design brief included using part of the existing fitout to create 8 new offices, 2 spacious open-plan work areas, a kitchenette, library, meeting room, boardroom and new reception with waiting area.  Our design retained elements of the original fitout to save time and cost, but at the same time presenting a whole new image and stylish environment for the company.

"Priority were creative and able to reuse components of the existing fitout when designing the interior to suit our requirements."
