Our clients, team members and people we work with expect good ethical behaviour.

We are committed to operating in a way that considers the financial implications of business decisions we make, as well as the social and environmental impact on the community. Where we can, we are working to achieve best practice and report in the areas of Community, Marketplace Ethics, People and Environment.

Community Support

All team members can participate in our internal Community Support Program where they nominate a community group to receive a portion of our profits. Contributions to selected charities are made through donations, use of our services, or volunteering. Throughout the year we also promote and participate in charity events and make donations to major appeals.

Marketplace Ethics

Having a reputation as a highly ethical and trustworthy business is our greatest asset. We go to great lengths to ensure that people know:

  • independent audits of our financial records and statements are carried out at the end of each period.
  • that our referrals are genuine, non-commissioned recommendations from the people we work and associate with.
  • our business is properly licensed and insured for the work we do.
  • people are trained, qualified and accredited to carry out their duties.
  • that we only engage contractors and suppliers that are experienced, qualified and approved to do the type of work requested.
  • project specific contracts, council permits and approvals are in place prior to commencing work.
  • do not use or substitute poorer quality materials, fittings or finishes in the fitout process.
  • that our projects meet all technical and regulatory requirements and are certified by third party surveyors.
  • payments to suppliers and contractors are made promptly to ensure they have the cash flows needed to manage and grow their business.
People

The most valuable resource we have is our people. We have developed several initiatives to protect their well-being and to give them every opportunity to professionally develop and succeed.

  • Safety is our highest priority. Our safety management system promotes safe work methods and a zero harm at work attitude across all sites.
  • Our ‘relaxed-professional’ culture inspires motivation, professionalism, high performance while always being approachable and responsive.
  • Continuous improvement is part of our culture and all team members have access to top training resources and mentoring.
  • External support is available to all team members to help them through difficult circumstances.
  • Social Club facilitates group and communal activities such as team building events, Christmas parties, birthdays and daily lunches for our staff.
