There are 6 components of safety that focuses on continual development of a safe work culture:Compliance: all regulations, codes of practices must be followed with resources available to meet these requirements. Training: information, instructions and training are provided for employees and contractors to develop safe work sites and awareness of hazards. Supervision: all sites are properly organised, managed and inspected to ensure safety is maintained. Involvement: all employees and contractors participate in discussing health, safety, hazard reduction and improving safety systems. Assistance: support, resources and programs are provided to all employees who sustain a workplace injury or illness. Reporting: safety performance is monitored through weekly site inspections with results reported to all project teams and management. Monthly statistics are reported and discussed at monthly communication meetings. |
