Bundaberg Sugar

Bundaberg Sugar is one of Australia’s iconic brands and has a long-standing history in Queensland.

They were weighing up the options of either leasing a space, purchasing a building, or constructing their own building and having it fitted out. During this process they were referred to Priority and we investigated each alternative providing basic concepts sketches and budgets for each option.

It was decided to purchase the old Bookmakers Club on Wharf St, which had been in use as a club since 1954 and was in desperate need of a complete refurbishment. The shell of the building was the only section kept and the existing structure required substantial reworking.

The end result created by Priority is an efficient use of an existing structure, providing effectively a new building at a reasonable cost. Being a stand-alone building with parking, separate tenancies and walking distance to public transport, make it a very sought after facility. Bundaberg Sugar now has a modern corporate headquarters and a good long-term investment.
