The Queensland Government is setting the benchmark for the rest of Queensland in terms of reducing CO2 emissions and adapting to climate change.

At the same time they are looking to improve the health system by relocating non-essential services off hospital grounds. So as part of these two initiatives, Queensland Health leased space in 831 Gympie Rd Chermside - a 4 Star, Green Star rated building. They leased two full floors with a net lettable area of 2,814m2 to relocate administrative departments spread across two sites into a single location. To fulfill the guidelines of their environmental policy they required the fitout to achieve a 4.5 Star NABERS rating.

This was a large-scale project set across two levels with only 12 weeks to complete the work. We delivered a very high quality fitout within an agreed and fixed timeframe. Achieving a NABERS rating and specifying Green Star compliant products further enhances our knowledge of sustainable office design and fitout. Our internal systems and procedures allow us to share knowledge between our Design, Estimation, Project Management and Project Administration teams so the benefits of this project can be passed onto others.
